·  Subject: Job Hunting Mistakes
Dear Colleagues,

Are you a fresh graduate and planning to look for a job? Did you just recently quit your job and are looking for greener pastures? Are you unemployed and have little experience regarding ways to secure a job?

Whatever your situation may be, it would be to your advantage to study the following mistakes that have cost job seekers many opportunities that could have easily been avoided had they focused on following a clear-cut strategy to effective job hunting.

Here are 2 mistakes to watch out for, I have taken the time to put a complete list together here if you would like to learn more:
 http://bit.ly/AjyVXi

***Mistake #1:

Failure To Create The Perfect Resume

Before submitting your resume to a prospective employer, check your resume for corrections at least three times before handing it over. After researching about the job position, it is critical that you format your resume to match the needs of the company.

For example, if you are applying for an accounting job, you should put in detail your accounting experience on your resume. Typographical and grammatical errors are serious no-no's. It is also ideal to keep the length of the resume' to at least a page and a half long.

***Mistake #2:

Failure To Appear Professional

A survey conducted by a staffing and consulting firm based in California which corresponded with 1,400 chief financial officers concluded that candidates for employment made most of their mistakes on their interviews. Some of the mistakes they made include:

1) Arriving late

2) Having little knowledge about the company

3) Having little knowledge about the position applied for

4) Having a superiority complex

5) Behaving arrogantly

The body language of the applicant must also denote that he is confident yet not overpowering. He must maintain eye contact, have a strong handshake, and avoid looking defensive by the act of crossing the arms. Wearing the right clothes is crucial for projecting a confident stance. As they say, it is better to go to an interview over-dressed than being under-dressed.

Answer questions smartly

A common mistake of interviewees is that they tend to get tense and forget the questions that are given to them, which has the effect that they are not prepared for the interview. It is important to research the company and the position applied for to prevent being side-tracked during the interview.

If you do not know the answer to the questions being asked, it is better to admit you don't know the answer to the question and add that you can research about it. Look for the skills or expertise that the company is looking for so that when interview day comes and the interviewer asks about your strengths and core competencies, you will be able to match it to what they need.

Getting the necessary referrals

Having a referral from one of the company employees can go a long way toward landing an interview. A typical company may receive job applications in the hundreds and usually 35% to 60% of all job vacancies are filled by referrals. The odds of getting hired when you have a referral are very high if you have another 200 to 500 applicants vying for the same position.

If you do not know anyone from the company that may give you a referral, it is a good idea to network the alumni of your college or university, trade groups, social networks, and professional associations. Remember, having a referral greatly increases your chances of getting the position.

Plus one of the best places to get introductions and referrals is none other than here on LinkedIn. Don't forget LinkedIn is a great resource!

salam n' have a nice start up... hehehe...

salam sejahtera dan selamat pagi sume...

huhuhu... lamanye tak posting... macam tak tau nak tulis aper... blog nih pasal aper erk..? o'ow... hehehe
boleh plak mcm ni... okey... dah refresh... blog ni berkenaan sharing n' tuning for a better life...

so... penat dah nak cari idea aper nk posting nih...

TERIMA LA... TERBAEK dari UNCLE GOOGLE...

dengan ini saya nak share berkenaan bagaimana dapatkan saiz frame video... huhuhu... just taip google n' search frame size for HD video...

hehehe... hikmat c.p level 7... yosh!!!

How to calculate raw uncompressed video sizes
This short text will tell you how to calculate the size of a video in memory and on disk. This short text is really an introduction. It will give you basic terminology and tools to give you an idea of the numbers we are working with. If you work with video you probably already know this and can skip through to the video size calculator at the bottom. If you do not know this well just read on...
Video frame pixel size
When we talk about the video frame size we talk about how many pixels we see on the video screen. A larger frame size gives better quality and a larger file. To determine how many pixels each frame is you simply multiply the width in pixels by the height in pixels to get the total number of pixels. A typical 640x480 TV frame (not HD) is 307200 pixels or about 0.3 MPixels. If you would save one such file in an uncompressed image format, like BMP, you would get a file at least 300kb large.
Video frame byte size
If we want to show our video in colour we need to use three colour channels to represent the one pixel. Today we almost always use one byte per colour channel, and although we use different color spaces we most often need three color channels. To get the raw uncompressed size of the video frame you then need to multiply the number of pixels in the video frame by 3 to get the number of bytes each video frame will take. You now have the size of the uncompressed video frame, in our example 0.9 Megabyte.
Raw video size
We now know everything we need to calculate how large an uncompressed video file will be. We know how large one video frame is and we know how many frames are used every second. Let us continue out example of a video in 640x480 where each frame took 0.9 Megabyte running at 25 frames per second. The size of one second video footage would then require 25*0.9=22.5 Mb. A normal movie running one and a half hour would require 90*60*22.5 = 121500 MB = 118 Gb or about 26 single layer DVDs. The obvious conclusion is that when you work with videos you require a lot of free disk space and you need take make it smaller with compression when you have finished creating a video.

You are free to use the video frame calculator on your site. Simply use an iframe tag and set the src to www.fastvideoindexer.com/articles/VideoSizes/video_size_calculator
You are even free to host the html page on your site as long as you keep the copyright text with the link, and please send me an email if you do use it.
